When I took on the marketing for a media production company. Their organic search presence was almost entirely dependent on their homepage. They had great work, a strong reputation. In addition, but no systematic way to capture the hundreds of people searching for production services across their metro area every month. Nevertheless, so I built one — a geo-page architecture spanning over 250 location-targeted pages that now generates nearly 18,000 impressions per quarter and growing.
The Strategy: Service + Location at Scale
The approach was straightforward in concept but demanding in execution. I mapped every service the company offers. — videography, photography, headshots, brand advertising, video ad campaigns, equipment rentals across multiple categories — against every city in the service area. In addition, then I built dedicated pages for each combination with unique, locally relevant content. Nevertheless, the result: 140 geo rental pages across 8 categories and 119 geo service pages across 6 categories. Each page targets a specific local search query that the company was previously invisible for.
The Results Speak for Themselves
In Q1 2026 alone, the combined geo pages generated 17,775 impressions and 75 clicks. Videography services dominated with over 4,600 impressions across 22 city pages. Lighting rentals led all categories in clicks with 21. In addition, some individual pages achieved CTRs above 10% — numbers that most brands would celebrate on their best-performing ad campaigns. Nevertheless, and the primary rental pages saw Q1 impressions reach 50% of the entire previous year’s total. Showing the compounding acceleration that comes from systematic SEO investment.
This is the kind of SEO infrastructure that production companies need. — a scalable system that captures local demand across every service they offer and every city they serve. It’s not a one-time project; it’s a growth engine that compounds over time.
